More brake woes

Post by BigdummySteve »

Postie delivered my new disks and adapter but now the hose is too tight. To be honest it’s been that way since I fitted the wider bars.
Due to the hose fitting inside the brake reservoir the universal hose kit won’t fit as the banjo connector fouls the cap.
I could buy a longer sram hose but they are £30 and I would need to drain the system, remove bar tape etc ect.

Does anyone know where I might find a 5mm hose inline coupler? I’ve found one online but in the states and the WRT and Spain are looming.

Is that 5mm OD Steve? I can find 4mm and 6mm.

Don't worry, it's all dead straight, no need to steer

Sorry stu, head in the parts box, definitely 5mm.

Found two fittings which will work IF I can find a 6mm barrel nut to join them......

A solution was found, i'm not proud of it....I've built hydraulic stuff for Rolls Royce. But working away in Bristol and London this week something had to be done.
using the hose fittings from a kit and the banjo from the old Sram caliper I present the DIe2 junction box....before too long frames will be made to accommodate this :-bd
