I Just Couldn't Help My Custom Built Lust Self...

Post by Escape Goat »

So this build started off with a frame bag that came too late for the winter event  ....I didn't end up sending it back because of one thing or another. I then found some cheap 29+ rabbit hole rims  , then came across some fat bike hubs. I then seen a Surly Wednesday frame...then this happened...

I've always liked 29 plus, and I've always thought that I'd like a fat bike, so some wheels are on the way via a friend for 26 x 4 ish, but for now, this is the addition to the family for all the bike packing routes I have planned.

I didn't really need ANOTHER bike but I do like a bit of algebra, N+1....

I do like a bike with skinny frame tubes and fat tryes. Looks great, hope you enjoy it

I'm in the same boat as you, don't really like over built frames, but I'm pleased how it's built up. Managed to do it on a super mega low budget, which was the plan. :-bd

even refrained from ordering some Sram 12 speed!

I've refrained from 12 speed for a while. I use sunrace cassettes now with shimano shifting.

When my 11 speed wears out I may look at a wider range 11 speed...
