Capital trail
Heading up end of week to ride the route at last. Anyone ridden it recently or parts of it just wondering how the ground conditions are, are there many boggy parts to it? Also can any of you scots see snow on them there hills ;0) hopefully not!! Ta v much
Re: Capital trail
Not ridden it in ages but there shouldn't be much bog. There is some snow on the hills here but nothing that could cause a problem. I imagine most of it will be gone by the weekend.

Minch Moor Bothy has been removed, just in case you were thinking of riding the route over two days.

When I rode it in the dry thought to myself this would be horrible in the wet!!

It was an all wood construction including the foundation pilings which had rotted away so they demolished it on health and safety grounds.wriggles wrote:That will explain why I couldnt find it then. You'd think they'd put a sign up at the spot to tell people it's gone.
