Wow. You've managed to make a 2.8kg frame into such a light setup (packed and without)... seems like some money has been spent and many an hour of thought

I dont carry much and to be fair in this set up water and tools are in a hydration pack.

That's fair enough, it'd be a significant weight if you were carrying enough for 150 riders.

If it's any help, the lightest bike today was a shade over 30lb loaded and the heaviest was 95lb ... which probably puts most of us somewhere firmly in the middle.

Was it a gravel bike, Stu? My Ramin MTB weighs about 30lb without any luggage, I think.

This year the bike+kit was 1kg lighter than last year — and then I remembered I only put 2L of water in the Camelbak instead of 3L last year

30lbs = 13.61kg
95lbs = 43.1kg

Divide by 2.2046 to get lbs to kg

IIRC I weighed in at 47 pounds. Back home now, and taking stock, I reckon I can drop that to 35 easy. No chair, only a change of socks, can probably do without a book and three different light sources and dont get me started on that stupid big ass bum bag I lugged about, constantly drooping over my arse. Grrk.

My all-up bike weight at this year's WRT was just 1 LB heavier than my riding mate's was.
He very kindly pointed out though that the total weight of him and his loaded bike together was equal to my weight - that's my weight, just me without the bike and kit!!

I’m really not carrying much.
The food and 1L water amount to almost half of what i’m Setting off with. The food will be gone by the end and the water wright will be variable obviously.
One area i could be lighter on is tools and spares. Including pump, tube, tools and a small assortment of nuts, chain links etc i’m carrying 1.1kg.
I haven’t got a weight for the unladen bike but it is 14.9kg with rigid forks/seatpost so probably at leat 16kg now.
This is as light as I am able/willing to be right now.
