4 weeks to grid refs and only 8 weeks to the main event.

I've looked at maps of the general vicinity of Bearbones Towers. There seems to be a lot of contour lines...

Yeah they're weird the contours round Stu's - they all seem to show 'up' without any corresponding 'downs' anywhere.

Yeah, I've got my route plotted and bivvy spots identified - one of them a good sheltered spot so should be ideal for a nice fire. Will be planning my food drops next.
I'll be missing out 3 of the references that are a bit off-grid for me though.
 :YMDEVIL:

How have you planned any of this ? The refs aren't out yet are they? EDIT. Oh hang on..... It's dawning on me..... I did think the mention of a fire was a bit brave round these parts

Super excited here - it will only be my 2nd WRT. I have the following week off to recover whilst cycling the Pennine Bridleway Way before the Moors 100. My plans to ride between the three rides have been scrapped on the grounds of I am not very good!

The opportunities for over packing / thinking are enormous even before any grid refs are published. Hopefully Stu will offer a cheats route again for the hard of navigating

How much of the PBW are you gonna do as the recovery ride  it says it all about the WRT rpute I suppose

i have got a lift to Middleton Top on the monday evening and then 4 days to get as far along the PBW as possible. Certainly won't be a strenuous pace and hopefully there will plenty of opportunities to refuel, rehydrate and dry the Welsh moisture from my soggy gear!

There's always the 2 Lonely Hearts Club rides for the hard of navigating to join in with.
Tune back in once the grit refs are out

Hope you enjoy it all... Every last minute of it and GodWilling the sun shines just the right amount for everyone including the WRT thingy.... Hopefully the bogs might just be a bit dry(ish)...
