An interesting concept - https://www.phdesigns.co.uk/the-desert-racing-triobag chuffin' expensive though. I can't remember ever seeing anything similar.

I suppose laying your unzipped jacket over you inside your sleeping bag is similar, at least the principle.I can't remember ever seeing anything similar.

Much as I like PHD gear I think they somewhat limit themselves with sticking to bags, a quilt would give close to that temperature range.

I knew I'd seen the idea used before but only remembered where this morning ... the ME Spell Binder bags. They have an internal 'quilt' that can be placed beneath or on top of the slepper or removed completely.

I bet thinking about that kept you awake all night
On my first trip to the Alps in the early 1980s my mate had a two layer sleeping bag: down inner, synthetic outer, that we split between us to save weight when on routes - he took the inner as he was smaller than me. Can't remember the manufacturer now.
