Aww thanks peeps. I'll tell you what keeps me feeling a lot younger than the headline figure (don't say it  ) and that's popping into this strange and wonderful corner of the internet (or as r_c says, 'a little mad' :-bd ) regularly. Thanks to all of the family for making it what it is, but obviously most to the main man (and woman of course!) without whom we'd just be a load of random riders with smelly kit strapped to their bikes. It really is very special and like nothing else. Still, best not to analyse it or observe it too closely or it might collapse like some wierd quantum wave function

Many happy returns Reg! Another year of memories under the belt, another year of exploration to come
We go out into the hills to lose ourselves, not to get lost. You are only lost if you need to be somewhere else and if you really need to be somewhere else then you're probably in the wrong place to begin with.

Would attempt some sort of off-the-wall humourous take on the classic "Happy Birthday" message, but no-one does it like the man himself, so I'll just say: Happy Birthday (for yesterday... sorry).

Many Happy returns for yesterday Sir Reginald of Perrin.

Head-talker-of-rubbish-in-the-pub perhaps . Luckily at my great age I'm totally at ease with that role  . Too much thinking and not enough riding though.
