GoPro adapter for Garmin Out-Front

Post by quimarche » Sun Feb 17, 2019 12:01 pm

Does anyone know of something that adds a GoPro mount to the underside of a Garmin Out-Front?

I know I could get a new K-Edge dual-purpose mount or similar, but I'd much prefer to re-use what I've already got.

i appreciate the re-use idea, but the garmin outfront is a bit flexy with too much stuff on it.

Have you tried aliexpress? the do what appear to be derivative items that are aluminium and a lot sturdier than the plastic outfront.

My Garmin outfront isn't flexi at all with a mtbBatts light goPro (style) attached to the bottom of it. Will try and get you a pic later if I get chance today...

I’ve used a metal out front which replaces the stem face plate. Pretty sure there is one with a Gopro Mount under too.

I’ll see if I can find a link.

Thanks all.

I've ordered one of these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/122025373163. Will report back when I've had a chance to test it.

Ordered yesterday, arrived today. A lovely piece of cnc'd alloy. It's the small things sellers do that that impress me; the mounting bolts come with thread-lock.

Yes.

The Out-Front has an adjustable adapter which can be rotated for different Garmin GPS units; it's held in place with a couple of short bolts. Replace these with those supplied by VeloChampion and you have an Out-Front which functions exactly as before but with an additional GoPro mount underneath. Still waiting for my kLite Ultra to arrive so can't yet comment on any flex, but for £7 I thought it was worth a punt.
