Have we slowed down?

Post by Bearbonesnorm »

Today was new server day but this afternoon, it appears that page loading here has slowed somewhat. However, Open Reach were also titting about with the fibre this morning, so it may be my internet connection rather than a problem here... so my question is, has the forum become noticeably slower this afternoon for anyone else?

No 404 errors as before, but it’s taking ages to load pages. Both at home and work, so it’s not at my end.

Swemed had slowed down earlier but just after posting my last message it seems to be same speed or faster...

Has been slow until about ten minutes ago, better now.

If anyone's on Chrome you can open up the developer tools and look at the network requests and the response times to see what the problem is.

Fasthosts I think Dave.

It does seem to have picked its skirts up in the last 15 minutes or so ... I'll ask and see what's what.

Seems to keep hanging up on page loading. Delays waiting for connection.

I think what we seem to be saying here, in the nicest possible way, and with all due respect, is - it's crap .

Much quicker than yesterday. I am also finding I am not being automatically logged in.

There is also now a 'Not secure' message before the address, which wasn't there before. I don't know too much about this stuff, but is that a security certificate issue or something?

Thanks everyone, I'm working on it.

New certificate - in part that was one of the reasons for moving :|

Was about to say the same, but actually downgrade to adequate. Was slow for me yesterday, and I'm also not secure.

I was just going to ask if everyone was okay now?

It was slow for everyone yesterday Zip. Padlock icon should now be showing secure - wasn't this morning but should be now.
