The recent threads have just reminded me of this

This one has piqued my interest.

If either of you guys would looks to share the .gpx track so that I can investigate further I'd much appreciate it.

You can send it to:

simplegairy (at) gmail (dot) com

Also, does anyone know if early June would likely be insanely hot or just really really warm???

Cheers, Gairy.

I'd say temp range of 25-32° so depends if you feel that's too hot. It's sort of why I chose mid May for the C2C as it's better for long days in the saddle. I did a 700km event through Cataluña in 2017 which started on the 2nd of June, the mid afternoon temp on day 2 and 3 touched 40° Why not join us on the C2C, get the train to Tarragona and back from Bilbao, should be quite straightforward to Chamonix.

Thanks for the info Duncan.

25-32°c sounds medium-hot but perfectly doable.

I'm not really affected by the heat so much (I can be slow in a wide range of temperatures) so anything below 35°c and I'll be happy and probably just rest in the middle of the day to avoid the worst of the heat.

Did the Etape du Tour in 38°c a few years ago which hurt a bit on the bigger Cols :-bd
