Isla is off course and just at Poolewe  no idea why, any locals? What's the weather like?

I did wonder if the postman's path was impassable but looking at the history she turned off before then. I'll be gutted for her if she is scratching as she seemed to be doing well up the then, as far as you can tell by looking at dots.

I think a few folk choose to skip the Postmans Path in the summer as it becomes impassable. If she heads along the road and then onto the Tollie Path then she'll be on the old route.

I'm not aware of any weather issues at the moment.

Maybe she rode to Poolewe for food? It took her over 1 hour to get there

BBC says that Kinlochewe is currently 29 degrees and Sunny, with light winds
Not sure if that's good or not - certainly scorchio

Hopefully the coast will be a bit cooler

The summer route is allowed for an ITT? Is that basically cow sub standard bog then the Tollie Path?

I've just seen a tweet from HT550 that mentions the 'summer' route via Poolewe.

Isla is now in Attadale, I remember that was where I was at my lowest emotionally/physically in 2018, it was too hot, I was done in and I seemed a long way from the finish, once I'd eaten half the contents of the shop at Dornie I felt much better though

I couldn't think of a better name for it. It was that or "tickfest 2019 route"

Summer seems right, especially as the BBC forecast says 25 degrees and sunny in Dornie so it is summer. It was like that when I was there as well, perhaps it's always sunny in Dornie?

Aye if you go to the 2017 results page you'll see a few ITT times on the summer route. I'm lead to believe (by a family I met at the postie path turn off by Lochan Fada last month) that the cowshit bog is no more.
Apocalyptic weather coming in here over the next few days but apparently the North and West is to be alright :-bd
