Probably scratched but not told Greg?
You only appear on the scratch list and have the dot removed from the map once you've told Greg you're scratching.
Alan G has put an email out asking if anyone has seen him. Anyone know who he is?

Isn't that him excluded then?
I seem to remember Alan G excluding himself for similar action a few years ago.

Possibly different in that he borrowed from a random cyclist, not a HT rider? Any ITTer could have had the same luck and James hasn't had any benefit from being in the group start compared with an ITT?

I've just looked at our brake pad stock on the wall. There's many, but not every pad. How lucky someone had the same pads, but wonder about what's going to happen depending where they came from....

It was a random passing cyclist who took them off their own bike.

No overnight scratches.

But Andy Jefferies just sent me a message to say he is out. Wandring back to Tyndrum at this his own pace.

Re: Mike Sheldrake. He's well known in the audax community. I can't get on there at the moment but if someone can ask on YACF if anyone knows him/is in contact with him that could be useful.

Mike Shell Sheldrake is an vaguely exciting rider from my neck of the woods - Leicester- who rode the Silk Road mountain race last year and the Italy Divide earlier this year. We pressganged him in to a talk about the Silk Road experience at Leicester Bike Park.

Oops.....that should read "vaguely exciting rider" not vaguely exciting! This is the penalty for pretending to work while frequenting bike forums!

They are asking about Mike Sheldrake on barebones forum – can someone let them know he has posted on instagram, looks like he is going to decide at Ullapool whether to scratch or not (I’m not registered there). https://www.instagram.com/p/ByAKDiJFybm/

I saw Shell's talk on SRMR, really enjoyed it. I particularly liked his description of crying "tears of vulnerability". It felt like something we don't acknowledge enough in our lives these days.

Bontyrider - there is a autocorrect built into the forum for certain overused words. You're trying to use one of them.

There is some good suffering going on out there this year, the like of which hasn't been seen since 2015.

This is making me think that it could be a good idea to have another crack in 2020.

Looks like he has sorted his tracker now, too. He's at Oykel Bridge hotel.
