Help me find a fork?

Post by FLV »

I'm looking for a rigid fork,
15mm axle but 100mm spacing. (Not boost. Sick of bloody boost).
Minimum 483 axle to crown.
Tapered or straight.
Steel or carbon

The only thing I've seen is a salsa firestarter carbon. But it's silly money.

Anyone know of anything?

There was a previous post about forks about 4 weeks ago. Ended up someone sourced a reputable 29er carbon fork from eBay for less than 100 quid. Check back in the posts.

Cheers

I have an older model Travers prong, think it would work well. Mine is fitted to a solaris

Also have a steel salsa rigid fork on my El Mariachi, but it's QR

Chris. Saw that yes. No links in that thread to a fork meeting what I am looking for unfortunately but thanks all the same.

Older travers would likely work yes. But finding one?

Curve bikes market a carbon fork, it also has 2 sets of triple bosses.
Not silly money but dear enough, on the other side of the world though, will probably post it if you don`t want to collect in person.

Why not just a simple Travis Prong!! I love mine and it was after pages of input from the forum regards best rigid forks!... Just sold my Fox Factory unused as I needed the money and possibly enjoying the Prong that much!

My wheels are not boost. I don't really want to use spacers if there was another option as I swap front wheels around on that bike.

I found a guy selling an Enve MTN for £275. I don't know him personally - this was on the One Cog Cycling site. I can pass on your details if required.

In terms of the forks themselves, they're excellent. Light, comfortable and integrate well with the mudguard (also included) - I run one on my Ti Stooge.
