ebay does tesa tape [ what stans and others sell ]for about £13
I think you can get it even cheaper if you search using the actual tape code which i cannot recall at the moment

I use the WTB tape. Never had any issues with it. Given it's basically a one-time fitment I don't mind paying for the right stuff. Being shiny, getting tyres into the beads is also pretty easy and it doesn't absorb sealant the way that Gorilla tape can.

Can you get the Teva tape for wide rims, say 40-45mm?

Don't forget to remove the original rim strips....even if it looks like they are going to help the gorilla tape get a good seal!

I've been tubeless on everything for around six years now, and it's only failed me twice....both big tears that would have ended any tyre, tubed or not!
