Get ready for adventure with cycling weekly.
A series of videos by cycling weekly, the first concerns itself with gear, what to pack and how to pack it. Apparantly you should always take long trousers (I assume to hide your shaved legs when in northern quarters), a fleece and a warm coat. However, it would appear that the packing statergy has gone somewhat astray and our intrepid rider has fallen foul of the danglers curse.
May the bridges you burn light your way

Do you reckon my tweed trousers who be acceptable? Neve worn them bikepacking, but I once did a century in them (matched with a tweed coat and cap) round Regents Park in that there London on a fixie in the pissing rain. T'was horrid and I don't wear trousers much anymore.

Tick magnet?? I think of a leg covering as tick protection.

Was amazed at the quantity of stuff that most TNR riders where carrying this year, especially given the amount of climbing. Probably shouldn’t be surprised then at the trail of kit left behind at various stop-overs; could fill a large shopping trolley with just the lost & found posted on FB!
