Gore one 1985 jacket??

Post by Mike »

So having just ordered one of these to try has anyone got one or had any experience with one. The reviews thefy get are great but wondered if they are that good? Says for Rd biking but can't see why it can't be used for mtb also??

I looked into this a while back. There’s a thread on here somewhere. The verdict seems to be: very good but a bit delicate.

I went with an Outdry in the end.

Amazing. But I only wear mine roadying. They warn a rucksack would damage it; any bramble snaggage could rip it

I’ve just sent a Shakedry jacket back, ordered an xl (usually large) and it was so tight you could see my nips

I woke up this morning but I’m still in the dark

I've just bought one. wore it last night and it seems great. infact I bought 2 but have to return the large one today as went for the medium. I'm using it for roadie and bike packing. I don't wear a ruck sack..

Like it so far but as an emergency jacket as it is quite fragile

I noticed an advert for a Mammut jacket which claimed the same properties (could have been Go outdoors)

Mike, they do size up really small. However the running ones are spot on size wise and have a hood (and are a nice blue not black).
