For those that like the Lyons coffee bags, iv just tried these and they are loads nicer ( the lyons are ok and so much better than instant crap ) obviously these are more expensive as there are only 10 per box and not 18 but who cares

Starbucks actual fresh coffee in store is undrinkable poor show, can't imagine how bad their instant is.

Are they still easily available? The UK supermarkets weren't selling them, and the supermarkets in the US were charging almost a dollar per sachet.

i like the Taylors ones, they are quite weak compared to the actual loose coffee, but good flavour and better than those Nescafe instant sachets things, top tip though if ever stopping at services is the milk sachets they always put out on the counter at Burger King.. quite a few have found there way into my pockets

Been using them for 6 months or so, perfect in the house for emergency brews when proper coffee has been used up or great at work when there’s no espresso machine

And some ground coffee as I have that already.

Not often in supermarkets now, I pick I packet up on the rare occasions that I pop into a Starbucks

Thanks Mike that's good to know. I was realty disappointed when on my last visit back to Scotland that I couldn't find a supermarket selling the "instant ground coffee sachets" anywhere, that is anywhere in Argyll! I did try some of the coffee bags (meant to be good) but they were so bad I ended up binning them. Currently using cling film twists of instant as the alternative seems to be Nescafe 2 in 1! (Insert puking gnome)

My local CoOp (in Argyll spookily enough) currently have these ones in stock. They definitely have more oomph than the Taylors ones if you're into that sort of thing. I quite like both these and the Taylors ones depending on my mood.

Well as somebody who lives in Scotland but grew up in Yorkshire I wring them out so there's not much sogginess left when I've finished but yes you're right the used bag has to be carried out with you. I suppose cutting the bag open and dumping the (biodegradable) contents and just carrying the empty bag in your rubbish would be possible if you're that obsessive about weight but make sure there's no mud stuck to your bike as well!

I’ve been drinking a lot of peppermint tea recently, I have a little strainer thing and some loose leaf tea to take. Don’t really want to have to deal with dead tea bags!

we have been drinking tea while camping and taking coffee when we find a cafe. recently I'm drinking more coffee and have been thinking about the coffee conundrum with the minimum kit increase.

I have one of them too, and use it in the house most of the time.

As we’re talking GSI and luxury, they do a nice portable grinder too.
