S7 is double-push home button to open camera app (inc when locked) then tap screen button or physical button to take a pic.

Just moved onto the iPhone 7 Plus and the photos are great, can even do ‘long exposure’ (about a second or so).
Don’t take out my DSLR or my mini DSLR now as the phone is more convenient. As Mr Storm points out, editing, publishing etc can all be done on one device. Sure, the quality isn’t as good as my proper cameras but I take an awful lot more photos with the phone.

Snots ok, most new phones are waterproof. If your aims ok I guess you could try the screen button with the nose too?!
