A comment on the warm showers thread got me thinking.
How about a boners google map showing the location of people who would help a fellow boner?
I’d be happy to help a fellow boner who was passing Hull.
Appreciate a “warm shower” would be too much of a luxury for the average boner bikerpacker

Depends whether you want the world to know where you live?

Perhaps a thread where people can ask for a doss in a certain location and anyone in a position to help can step forward. However, we are meant to be self-sufficient bikepackers.

God forbid anyone stay in a pub or its carpark before an event then The hedge backs in your next of the woods must get pretty full a few times a year

I think its a nice gesture from those who feel able. In my case it would be the offer of a garden to camp and use of facilities for one or two. Possibly the sofa and probably just the night. Would obviously depends on what going on here family wise though at the time.

I'd go on a map, I think narrowing it down to Shetland in my case would be enough!

Not that there's much decent off road here, but there's plenty of nice riding.

People can say pin the nearest post office, petrol station, supermarket etc rather than their house

Good idea. I live very close to the east end of the Ridgeway so if anyone's riding that I can offer garage/floor space/shower.

I've added myself on the map.

People welcome to camp in the garden, store kit or bikes in the garage while you play in the mountains and if I've got time I'll show you the best locals trails and where to find good beer!
