Podcast recommendations please

Post by Borderer »

I have recently got into podcasts, really enjoying Lee Craigie's trip out with the Mountain podcast crew. I have been looking for more in a similar vein, but am finding it difficult. Can anyone recommend some?
I checked the search engine here and this was last covered in 2014, so I think it is time for an update.

Here is Lee's podcast 'Where the road runs out'

I've been listening to some of the Paul Kirtley podcasts recently, it's geared more towards bushcraft than bikes or travel, but he has some interesting guests and subjects.

Mountain bike radio has some good shows on it from time to time, but my regulars listens are more training related like.

Time trial podcast
Science of ultra
Endurance planet
Primal endurance
Trainer road ask a coach
Cycling tips
Bio hackers lab

I also pick up some from Joe Rogan, Tim Ferris and Under The Skin (Russell Brand) who's just had Ed Stafford on. Scotland Outdoors can be good too.

last podcast on the left - crime, sci- fi, paranormal (people either love this or look at me different from that point on)

sawbones - weird / funny medical stuff

athletico mince - vaguely football based, but very funny in general.

Apologies if I've got the title wrong ... The Cycle Show with Jack Thurston. I was on there once and I was bloody good

I love this too but it's proper weird, some people would think its just idiotic, which it is!

Under the skin has some really interesting guest if you can tolerate Russell brand!

"No such thing as a fish" is good if you like QI.

Sorry I've no cycling related suggestions but I've not found any good ones myself.

Fat bike radio is a good laugh, fat and plus bike orientated but a right chuckle.

I really want to like this station as they have some interesting podcasts, but the guy speaks so slowly it does my head in.
