Just after some guidance on buying a new sleeping bag, something quite small and quite light an doesn't break the bank. Cheers

Cheers, I suppose I was looking for something around the 0-5 degrees, also something that doesn't take up as much space as what I'm using at the moment, I suppose my budget is below £150. I have been looking around and a mate got a helium sleeping bag on offer and it's ace, but normal retail is pretty expensive, well over £200 anyway. Cheers

@Ootini - yes, that's the one! I got the regular originally, but it was a little short for me at 6'1” so that went to the missus and I got myself the long version. I paid about £77 through the app and took 2 weeks to arrive.

+1 for the Cumulus 250 - I've the 150 which is definitely summer only but I also use it as an outer wrapper on a two season sleeping bag. That combo is good enough for year round bivvying in the UK. The 250 will be usable on its own for longer. It's also significantly lighter than the Helium 250.

I have an Alpkit Cloud Cover and think it's pretty garbage. The open end means it doesn't keep my feet warm and it's too short to keep the rest of me warm.

What am I missing out on?

In its defence, it's ideal for lounging on the sofa with...

The Cloud cover and the Cumulus quilts are very different. The CC is much more a blanket that kind of makes a quilt, a Cumulus is a proper quilt with a sewn in footbox, box wall baffles and much higher quality down / shell material.

I think the CC was a decent buy at the original price of around £60 but at the currect price, it just doesn't stack up against something from Cumulus.

You're missing that the Cummulus is a proper top quilt whilst the cloud cover is an over priced, underperforming blanket only fit to be used by midgets in the most temperate conditions, imo 8-)

They do.
They customise loads. Size, fabric weight, filling type, overfill quantitative and qualitative, (zip config,) etc.
I find the quilts heavy and if I was getting one, I surely would ask for their lightest fabric and hydrophobic down as stated above.
