2 days in the SW (ish)

Post by lune ranger »

Does anyone have an interesting route for a two day/one night trip in the Wessex area. I’m thinking Somerset, Dorset, Wilts, Berks - maybe up into the Cotswolds (but not too far north). Maybe south Chilterns or Oxfordshire.
More off road than road. Maybe incorporating the KAW between Salisbury and the Thames.
A loop.
Centred on Goring/Streatley would be ideal but not necessary.
Depending on terrain 60- 100km/day.
If you are going through hell, keep going.

KAw reverse from Goring towards Winchester thn it would be a case of putting a route together from Winchester way back to Goring area. Watership down Kingsclere to Greenham then onto Kennet and Avon

Thanks for that, not a bad idea at all except it amounts to around 255km which, even considering the ease of riding is a bit too much for the folk I’ll be ring with.
