Italy>Abruzzo to Florence route?

Post by Mlynch1966 »

Hi all
Going to be doing the wolfs lair route in Abruzzo this May and want to visit family in Florence after - any interesting routes to take from, say, Avezzano to Florence in 3-4 days?
Thanks

The Italy Divide route will get you from Rome to Florence on an interesting route.

A couple of years ago we were trying to negotiate public transport in Pisa, near Florence. A teen-age family outing. yes as in 'Leaning' the wrong way.

Looking for our local train back to Florence & our hotel.
Me :"Come on be quick! Get this train, or we' ll miss it'.
(Family trying to pull Me off the train. :???:)
Missus + kids: ".. But Dad that not our train it says' Fire-nze' !".
Me:" Fi-ren-ze is Florence, Florence is what we call it!".

I know it no help with the route, but it might avert naive navigation issues
[edit], I just read the whole post, I don't think you'll make that rookie mistake. . but some one else might
I hope you think you know, what I might of exactly meant.
