Bear Bones 'Shower Curtain'.

Post by Bearbonesnorm »

Cuben 'Shower Curtain' hot off the sewing machine. Okay, so it doesn't turn a tarp into a tent but at 20g the amount of additional protection it offers is very surprising. Hopefully this will become a production item in both cuben and sil'.

My initial plans to call it a 'beef curtain' were thwarted

Don't take this the wrong way Ben but I can't decide whether that's a serious question ... how do you mean side on? I'm not sure there'd be much to photograph :???:

Great idea,I'd be interested in of these to go with the Tarp pole,
Any idea on cost yet ? I actually thought you meant a shower curtain
On first glance as I've been looking at one of them as a lightweight
Groundsheet :???:

Not yet, I'm just figuring out which weight of cuben to use as that will effect price.

This one's made from 27g/m but I've got some 15g sat under my desk which I'll hopefully try next week.

No wrong way taken!

Side angle is a good point, it may just be a sliver, maybe rear three quarter shot?

I can't picture how much it's angled and how it fits the set ups you've got in the pics (though I know you can change the set up!)

Thanks. Other than the usual sources in Germany, is there anywhere special I should be looking for cuben?

Just made a 'Shower Curtain' for Adam from 15g/m cuben. It's slightly shorter than this one but a little wider. With 2mm adjustable shockcord tie-outs it tips the scales @ 15g.

Sorry, missed this ... I'm still waiting on a firm material price but hopefully I'll know soon.

Just finished this for Mr Fitz and his Trailstar. In 15g/m cuben with tie-outs and tie-back, it comes in @ 17g.

I might be interested in one of these curtains but I can’t find any showers on the site. What showers are you guys using and how do you carry the shower gel?

Some would say this whole place is an absolute shower, as per Terry-Thomas (Google... )

I reckon the cuben curtains are collectors items now that Stu has switched to spinnaker. Have got one of each and they're very useful. How many cuben ones did you make in the end Stu? Collectors item or not?

Might have a good home for one.

What size would that be? I don't recall (but could well be wrong) making a TS specific one.
