Climashield/primaloft sources?

Post by RichinNW »

Hi
Now that buying anything from mainland Europe comes with a Brexit tax, has anyone found a source for sheet insulation in the uk? I know thinsulate’s available. It’s been around for decades now, but doesn’t appear to be the gear manufacturer’s first choice any more (an efficiency/ cost thing / or just not a bright and shiny thing anymore?). Has anyone experience of thinsulate for a sleeping bag booster quilt?

If you have any reasonable sized offcuts of climasheild/primaloft you’d be happy to sell, let me know.
Thanks
Rich

Hi Stu
I thought if anyone would have some going spare it would be you! Thanks
I’ve had a change of tack. I’ve just put a wanted post in the classifieds for a primaloft jacket.
I’m going to start with something I can wear, but can also convert to a quilt. If you can imagine a roomy hooded gilet, with poppers down the side to snug things in, then you’re on the right track.
Ive yet to work out how much I’m willing to sacrifice style for full quilt length!!

I've got a synthetic bag with a knackered zip - any good?
