Adding webbing to a soft flask

Post by dlovett »

Do you guys think it would be possible to glue a piece of nylon webbing onto a soft flask like one of these?

https://www.decathlon.co.uk/trail-runni ... 87344.html

I want to be able to pass a strap through the webbing to strap it onto a harness.

If so what glue would you recommend?

Many thanks

Probably easier to make a pouch that the flask fits into, and add webbing to the pouch.
Add a drawstring to the pouch, to secure the flask, and it'll be easier to secure/remove

I have one if those for running.

I REALLY doubt anything will stick its a funny sort of stretchy rubbery feeling plastic like a camel back.

Its also totally floppy so one strap is unlikely stop it doing much other than falling off. Think a pouch would be a better option.

To be honest i think there are better flexible bottles if you are using it as a "fill up for night time" type system.

Something like a source liquitainer which can take twice the volume and actually works as a bottle (the nozzle on the decathlon one is a bit rubbish and if you get it wrong you empty the bottle over your face with a significant quantity up your nose - ask me how i know) .
