One bloody lovely ride!

Post by gairym »

I went to go pick some friends up from Valence and so used that as an excuse to go ride one of my favourite trails.

Here’s a nice little video I made of the trip:

So.....I drove down and slept in the LandRover (so not strictly 'bikepacking') the night before to give me a nice 06:30 start!.

Here’s me tucked up in bed:

I woke up to discover that the nice little spot I’d stumbled upon the night before had a nice little view of the surrounding hills:

As always this ride was a bit special – it has everything! Technical twisty single-track, massive fire-road climbs…..ok, it has two things but those things (easy ups and smile-inducing downs) are what I was after (as well as the stunning scenery).

Here’s a couple of nice views along the way:

I LOVE THIS ROUTE!!!!!

I look forward to doing this ride again very soon (this is the forth time I’ve done it now and I like it more every time).

Cheers, Gairy.

Gairy - sounds like the Dovey Enduro but bugger me the scenery is somewhat better! Did you link to your video yet and i missed it? Look like a great trip!

yeah, it's up at the beginning.

but here it is again:

and it was a little quieter (and dryer) than your average Dyfi Enduro but otherwise very similar!

Another great vid, Gairy. Stunning area to ride by the looks of things. Jealous (again!)
