Bearbones 200 The video

OK, you know what to expect.

This video is NOT work friendly. I hope you understand that filming anything half decent during this event was a challenge in itself, which is why I didn't even bother with "half decent". Hopefully it does convey some of the pain and suffering that we went through.

I'm working on a write up as well as I'm so shagged out that I can't possibly do any proper work today.

Great write up dave. Was following your tracker so really enjoyed the story to go with it.

Will watch the video later once the kids are in bed!

I hope all my whining does not distract from what an amazing, challenging and life changing event this was for me. I owe Stu and you others a lot for the past six months.

Road bike(s) for sale.

Great video dave, comedy gold.
Was hoping you'd got a shot over Badmouth bay, or of the twonks in 4wD's who had driven uphill through the wood only to meet a fence.

Ace, liked that
Saw the link via Strava, which was flagged NSFW. Fair enough, I thought, I'll put it on mute and watch it at work anyway. Only got to 1:27 before I had to abort...

Really enjoyed watching that.
Looking at the route on Strava, it looked very unsavoury. Kudos all round :-bd

Hi Dave,

I have to say a big thanks for being my echo of frustration. It was good to ride with someone with a common passion for having a severe dislike towards the route at 4 in the morning and a stubbornness to carry on regardless. I'm glad you pushed on as I just didn't have the legs and felt I was holding you back in the end.

Congrats to being the first newbie back, absolutely well deserved especially when powering up them hills. Top job! :-bd

Great video, and I love the Undertones.
I echo what you say about events like this being life changing. They really are a true test of resolve and determination; you can dislike it at the time, but there is something that keeps pulling you back in for a bigger, faster, higher, harder ride. But I think that this years BB must be the hardest single day (is that right?) ride out there.

Please Stu, make it a bit easier next year. Dave has written a book on bike rides and there's some in Wales - maybe have a look and get some ideas?

Question at 4:15.
Answer: A rideable bike wash.

07:13 needs a Danny MacAskill move.

Good vid, enjoyed that one more than the last two.
And good effort! :-bd

Dave, the sentence depicting the first hike-a-bike section must be one of the best sentences ever written. Amazing.
