Last Video Of 2021 - My Year In Bikepacking

Post by Escape Goat »

Hi you lovely lot!

I've made the last video of the year skimming across some of my solo adventures and some multi-day adventures with great mates.

Despite a rocky start to the year, I still managed to pack in a lot of trips (leaving me with next to no annual leave until the new tax year) but it was incredible. I'm hoping to get just as much in next year. It's a big birthday next year, so I've got a big plan. Scared to admit it...yet.

Thanks everyone, I wouldn't be here without you all. The list is too long to mention everyone whos had such a positive impact in my life on and off this forum, so thank you - you know who you are.

Well done Allen for an enjoyable watch.
What sort of camera were you using for you general footage as opposed to the drone?

Thanks for checking it out :)

I currently use
GoPro 9
DJI Mini 2
P30 Pro Phone

I want to change the phone now, so I'm unsure What to go for just yet.

Thanks again.

Nice one mate. Always impressed by how much tough downhill you do on a loaded ridged bike, and faster than me on my big old bouncer.

PS: I've finally built the new wheel for my OOF to fit that Lauf fork, and then decided the back end needed an upgrade too. Which I did today. If I can get the 1x12 SRAM GX to stop being so bleeding pernickety I might actually get out on it tomorrow.

Happy Christmas mate. You need to come over for the Chilterns Spring Thing in May next year and meet us soft southern Boners (Not Reg, he's hard as a coffin nail, he is). It's gonna be EPIC !!!!!

Hey Tim !

Thanks for watching 😀 I'm not sure how much of the downhilling is skill or gravity taking over, but I can't help but have fun on the downs. I appear to forget the bags are attached!!

Yeah I do need to get over, but May is always hard for me...but you never know!

Ooooh the fatty is going to be amazing mate !! 🤩🤩

Great little video, really enjoyed watching that.

The fact that I watched to the end says it all (I usually get bored, and give up  ).

Good round-up Allen, I've enjoyed watching your films through the year :-bd
We go out into the hills to lose ourselves, not to get lost. You are only lost if you need to be somewhere else and if you really need to be somewhere else then you're probably in the wrong place to begin with.

Ah thanks for watching more than one!!

Keith - just make more plans than you can ever fit in, then before you know it, they will start to become reality organically :)
