City

Post by Verena »

Hi, I've just found what looks to be a tiny village called "City" near Newtown

Does anyone know it, and is it nice round there?

Need to go there on a work thing, so just considering whether it would be an idea to take the bike and stay the night...

It’s a bit of a slog from City up onto the Kerry ridgeway, but it’s a nice area for riding and there are loads of spots up there for a night under the stars. You might have to put up with the odd illegal rave, but apart from that, it’s pretty quiet. Some of the fire roads in Ceri forest are blocked from windthrow from last winter, but they can be easily circumnavigated.

Little London's worth a visit while you're there too.
May the bridges you burn light your way

Cheers.

I'll probably end up being boring and just drive there and back...

For my first and only official work meeting in Wales and I did a little midweek bivy. Couple of boners, a route from Stu and plenty of liquid sunshine... It was ace!
