Advance notice of being soft!

Post by redefined_cycles »

Just putting it out there that I have around 48 hours to complete this months BAM. Realistically, cos I'm working on 28th night, I've actuqlly probably got less. Yesterday I did a kindof bivvy in the boot if my car (work reasons)...

I have only 1 bike available to me but it has fake gravel tires on and is rather interesting taking it off road. Could probably get the gear stuffed into a backpack and spend the night out Saturday night.

Just, the 'I'm too soft' bit is getting on the nerves...

Aha... I got that very very very quickly. As a matter of fact in the time it took to think how to ask what it meant... I will

Funny thing is that March is already planned with fond memories of a ditch somewhere near Layton Buzzard (or however far I get on that route I made over 2 years ago but failed completion over 5 times now... and counting!).

Feb is so easy aswell hey... Could (if one wasn't so soft) spend the night in a 1kg goretex armt issue bivvy. Snuggled in a 4 season bag. Wake up and have weetabix in the cosy bothy kitchen which is a marbles throw away. Then pull up the socks after making ablution and set out for a nice cosy ride. In the great outdoors...

Simple :o

Get out there!

I'm currently pitched by a wee loch, with a full moon casting blue light on the snow-topped mountains and listening to the water gently lapping on the shore line about 5 metres away.

Remember, at present emergency rules are still in force, so you don't actually need to include a bike.

Hmmm... So if I was to bivvy/cqmp out tonight with the bike ready for work. Wake up, do my stuff at home and then come the eve, get ready and ride to work. That'll have saved my BAM as I'll have over achieved (under current rules) right  ??

Thanks all (once again)...
