Re: Convert 2 x 10 to 1 x10?

I think the limiting factors will be chainring clearance around the chainstay, and tyre clearance around the front mech and/or chain.

Re: Today's Run

New shoes day, turns out they're very comfy.
9.6km, 450m climbing up and down the Wrekin and Ercall. Bluebells are out, I saw a little gang of fallow deer in the woods, and the sun shone. Feeling good.

Carrying your own camping kit? I'm sure you could if you wanted to. The folk who set it up include Stef from Pannier, so they all kipped at his place in Castelton when they recce'd it.

I feel like I've been on a journey just reading about it! Looks ripe for loading up for a luxury bivvy (camp chair, wine.cooler, wood-fired.hot tub...).

Lidl have a few "specially brewed for Lidl by..." cans at the mo. I'm about to try Harbour's "Big On Sesh" IPA.

Re: Suggest some 29er rims

Kinlin TL-29 are serving me well. Not silly heavy, built up fine, relatively affordable. Also available branded as Halo for a few £££ more (and I'm pretty sure they're what Hunt use for their "Trail Wide" wheels). 29mm internal width has been great with tyres in the 2.4-2.6" range - y...

Re: Today's Run

Did a short loop round the local woods at teatime yesterday, then out and back today along Froggatt Edge. Physio exercises seem to be helping, I'm aiming for some longer runs - 9.3km the longest so far since I re-did Couch to 5k.

Yup, Cheddar and kabanossi. Not pictured, curry spiced "ancient grain"* chips. They were pretty good. World's worthiest porridge this morning though. A cosy night's dozing on and off. Punctuated by rather more passing trucks from the local quarry than I'd anticipated throughout the early h...
