Ah, yes. Good fun that.
I don't remember anything that was too much for the 40c tyres in terms of technical-ness to be fair.

Re: BB200 on a drop bars bike
Had touring bars on mine. Small amount of handlebar palsy in my right pinky today, but I think that was from too much taking weight on my hands and off my aching arse. Will use a more forgiving saddle/tyre combo next time I think.

I lost a small blinky rear light early doors. It's an Infini one, a bit like this:GregMay wrote:I found a small blinky rear light - I think it's a Blackburn one. Lost somewhere in the first 50km.

Re: BB200 Route.
I forgot to say, because I was so close to the end, I thought "balls to it" and went through the river at Hafren rather than over the bridge. I went over the bridge not realising there was a river crossing. When I got round to the crossing about 40m later I thought "ah, looks nice, I...

I had to bail due to GPS failure at about 160km last year and it was bloody annoying.

Re: View ranger printing map sections?
I don't know the actual method, if one even exists, but I'm taking screenshots (the "Print Screen" key), then pasting that into Microsoft Paint. You can then stick bits together if you like and print out from there, or print out a load of individual sheets. I realise I probably haven't exp...

I'll make it two black sheep, although it'll be 40c WTB Nanos on a fully rigid Surly Ogre for me. I think.Dainiusd wrote:Guess I'll be the black sheep with cyclocross on 40mm tyres...

I've burped a 3" Dirt Wizard on a Velocity Dually from about 25psi to totally flat - going off a drop-off and it just instantly went out of the front wheel. I went otb and dislocated my shoulder.Ben98 wrote: Also, could a burp totally empty the tyre, it went from 50+psi to totally flat?

If you were unbiased John, would you say the Trail Racers are OK for CX/gravel, or are they too bouncy?

I use the 29x2 Big Apple with kevlar and never had a problem. Never had a puncture in nearly 2000 miles either. The grip's spot-on off road.

I'm also currently looking into this, started hoarding bits ahead of the release of the new Croix de Fer Ti frame.

I do have them quite loose in terms of clipping/unclipping though and favour the 'trail' pedals with a platform around the mechanism.
I use this actual combo for most of my riding. Swap the shoes for Shimano MW700 waterproofs for winter MTB riding.

Maybe add some of the bridleways on Carn Gafallt, to the east of the Elan Village if you've got time. Looks perfect Chris, cheers. :-bd I think we'll have...
