Re: Eid pressie prize! (Prize updated so gravel strokers don't feel intimidated against)

Eid Mubarak Shaf :-bd At college there is about 20 kids in, out of 2000. 20 out of 2000  That's a massive ratio. I'm gonna guess your in London somewhere today Ben. Birmingham, we don't quite have 99% students celebrating Eid. It is a lot and we have a critical mass of Muslims so even studen...

Just an update. Doesn't look like anyone has won yet and since eid after the month of fasting only lasts the one day, I'll end the eid prize comp at sunset today - there's when technically the next day starts for us (night is before the day, in case you ever get asked on the Who Wants to be a Millio...

Prize updated. We now have an option of the Pocket Rocket or a Mini Dual G with psi gauge. One or the other, not both (sorry). The other pump https://www.amazon.co.uk/Topeak-Mini-Du ... B00JQN3J1Y

Eid pressie prize! (Prize updated so gravel strokers don't feel intimidated against)

Hello you all. At the masjid today and I wondered whether I should share a little eid gift on the forum (btw, does anyone know where my Travis Prongs went - did I sell em someone on here... not sure I want the Sids after Allens broke!!). Anyway... First person to get the following question right, wi...

Re: The post man's been ...

I was the postman. Shimano 105/deore chain from Halfords. On the shelves at £34 but price matched online at £20.23 or something. Pump which I almost bought... A pocket rocket for only £15. Weldtite tyre levers. Big hefty ones with Halfords branding on the packaging with a lifetime warranty. Good old...

Very kind of you Simon. Not sure I can send via a message on PM on here for some reason but can send as an email (maybe I should've converted it to a Strava file for easier sharing).

Re: Anyone local to these areas able to review (sections of) my route pls?

That's how I made the route Keith. But after that I like to ride it for a real feel as I don't like to let loose 7 or 10 cyclists on a 24H route without knowing it's 'safe enough'. But I'm getting old and time is short so thought to use the combined knowledge of the forum to edit and finalise this t...

Re: What you done t' your bike today

Now I'll be using the micro chain tool Let me know how it goes as have looked at that tool. Bear is correct, unless you lubed it after the ride it was bound to rust. I had you in mind for this very thing and was about to text ya. The chain is siezed solid (my fault, I know  sorry for causing a...

Re: What you done t' your bike today

Sorry, didn't mean to offend anyone chain lube choices. For me the dry lube or various iterations just doesn't cut the winters. No matter how much cleaning (this was just an extreme case, and my bad, agreed).

Re: Anyone local to these areas able to review (sections of) my route pls?

Found a singletrack paved road just above the A5. Leads to b5437 and totall bypasses the A5 from Llangollen to Corwyn. That'll do nicely I suppose. One section ticked off thanks John.

Thanks John. Looks like I'm on it from Llangolen to Corwen. If I can't see any other obvious detours, I may have to go and ride it afterall and give riding to my sisters in scotland a miss. Fast roads that are narrow. Never my cuppa tea.

A5 near Berwyn looks a bit 'interesting' with potential fast/blind traffic.

If poorly organised and bad at washing people irritate you, look away now pls  Last rode this bike from Bristol, Oxford, Cambridge and back via Gloucester. 313 miles and about 2h of sleep.
