Re: Needle in a haystack!

Nice one Jeff... That may yet spam a new game with some of the old RSF photos that don't have a title/provenance :-bd  tbh its getting quite addictive! It does pass the time too. Bagged a couple more this morning too :-bd Findhorn bridge just south of Inverness, you can just make out the rail...

Needle in a haystack!

I thought JC might have posted this up but I'll do it. A female cyclist in the US posted (in a Facebook group) a picture of her late mum bike touring 'somewhere' in Scotland from 1938. We had 2 images to go off... the map of the route, remember this is 1938 https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/497862...

Re: For the ravers

051, I remember it well (surprisingly). Here's a little momento my mrs asked a bouncer to get off the wall at the end of the night! I actually met my mrs in 94 whilst clubbing btw, we have some fine memories! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49777488737_315a68d191_c.jpg DSCN4290 by Jeff Price , o...

Quote from Summitoppler who's seen the film in full "It gives a great insight into the hardship and toughness of the route and competitors of the race" Bit formal that John, let me put it another way... You're probably doing nothing else on Sunday evening or whatever day it is, so pour ye...

Re: Video Editing Software

I used to use Windows Movie Maker which is free. Its a good bit of software especially for starting off as its simple to use.
However You can film with just your phone nowadays and edit on yer phone but WMM is a way to go imo

Re: Todays ride

Was out again yesterday evening enjoying the 0.3 metre low tide. The low water level uncovered a neolithic (5000 year old) tree stump preserved in the sand (Googled it) https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49752264888_6997c6cc28_c.jpg 20200408_173803 by Jeff Price , on Flickr https://live.staticflick...

Re: Speaking of old maps...

Well I went in search of 'The Terrace' from the map above ^^ What a lovely spot. I went with my 16 year old who is always up for an explore of werid places and was good to get him out of bed before 12 too! Yes its part of the Bodysgallen Hotel (which meant some wall and fence hopping) which is owned...

Re: Speaking of old maps...

This woodland is just over a mile from my house. I'm gonna now go in search of 'The Terrace'. Looking at the map its probably only about 50-70 metres away from the footpath in overgrown woodland. It was once probably part of the Bodysgallen Hal but doubt that very much now. I'll report my findings l...

Suppose it all depends on what the be!!ends are doing in Londons parks despite what goes on around the country. North Wales police have put on social media that they've turned back a few few folk who: 1) Birkinhead lads who were riding uninsured motorbikes in Snowdonia, 2)Two blokes windsurfing at B...

My brother reports that the Police are stopping traffic on the road into the Dales from Lancaster. Turning cars around etc. Also doing this on the road into north wales but I think they’re targeting caravans etc You beat me to it! But yeah the police are doing random stops of traffic too :-bd
