Re: Looking ahead - what are you looking forward to?

The only real I have hopes for next year is another crack at the big bear sometime early summer, as for vaccines , still a bit sceptical, that it’s being pushed through, not anti vaccine but rather see a bit of the longer term effects than just jump at getting a job then getting further complication...

Re: Bivvy spots/shelter in or around the chase?

I normally use the “crater “ on gentle shaw common about a 5 min ride from castle ring , you get dog walkers over there about 7am but they never notice you , if I can find it I’ll send you a route that shows the spot last time I went with the young fella or there’s a outdoor classroom just some logs...

Re: My biggest worry about doing a French stage race.

The hardest part of learning a language is to think in that language. The tendency is to think in our first language and translate. Sorry but that doesn't help you now but you'll probably learn more on the event than before! Watch French films, tv if you can. Enjoy the event though whatever 😎 When ...

Re: BB200 2020

Well my attempt is out of the window for this year, (next week was my opportunity) as predicted down to just having Sunday’s off from now until Christmas (and that’s not guaranteed) ,so I think it’s going to be another crack at the big bear next April instead of this , as the half I rode was very ni...

With a nice pole for the cape as I’m sick of loosing the extender pieces Stu made me , but it’s not just any pole , it collapses into 5 pieces instead of 3 making it nice and tiny for packing
Cheers Stu

Re: BB200 2020

The English tier numbers are insane. Tier 1's infection rate per 100k people in England is enough to get an area locked down in Wales. Also, as much as travel will be banned from Friday, no-one from a Tier 3 area should be travelling for a bike ride anyway IMHO. Your right rich , as in tier 2 I was...

Re: BB200 2020

Oddly since we've got pretty much the same numbers as Wolves and only 20 miles away, we're only in tier 1 It's not just the current numbers but also the rate of increase in those numbers so two areas: one with low(er) incidence but doubling every week while the other is moderate incidence but fairl...

In tier 2 at the moment , which is high risk according to the gov , so it looks like I’m asking for that extension if I can get my holiday week swapped over , the only problem is from nov 1st it’s peak for our customers so all us lowley mechanics are on 6 day weeks and very little chance of holidays...

So what we need is a field or wood that straddles Wales and England, where we can all camp and keep our distance in our respective countries, and a marquee thingy in the middle with cake and an urn, right?!? That sounds like the winter bivy 2years back , but the marquee was replaced with a choice o...
