27.5+ Spearfish
So turns out this works out just fine :)
650+ Spearfish by Greg.May, on Flickr
Lots of clearance out back, similar to what I get with a 2.3 Saguaro in there.

Re: New bikepacking guide book...
Sadly, having seen a copy, I think 'book' is overselling things a little. Much more of a pamphlet, catalogue or the sort of thing given away with MBUK, MBR, etc. Same hear, I saw a copy today. For all that Salsa have done for us, this is a very poor show from them I know. Designing all these bikes ...

Ian and FLV - I know myself and Ian are going to be at the Alpkit BSO at the end of September - would this be a good time to have a sit (pint) and chat about the CTR2016?

Because this is going to be the defacto standard for + style bikes, and most MTBs in the next year. Sorry.ctznsmith wrote: e.g. new axle standard on the Deadwood. Why?

I've just looked at the 2015 full bike prices and to me, they look like a work of fiction ... fantasy fiction at that.

Re: Fargo 29+ called the Deadwood
That's a ridiculous price for that fork. The Shand carbon fork (like the one I have on the Bahookie) looks very similar in shape and is half that price, albeit without the anything cage bolts (which I'd be wary of on a carbon fork anyway...). Had mine for two years, no issues with cages on the fork...

Re: Fargo 29+ called the Deadwood
Can't see any Ti frames It's cheaper to have a Ti frame custom built to your specification than to buy a Salsa one (even at trade). Probably true, but I'd be surprised if that was their reason for dropping it from the range. There have been historic issues with their old frame builders for Ti. Retu...
