Re: Anyone got any experiences with Planet X Sleeping bags?

My 10 degree rated bag is only good for the warmest of warm days and almost always needs supplementing with an escape bivvy as a liner .

YMMV

Re: All night lights

Do some local loops at night and experiment.
Personally I can ride local lower lower than unfamiliar as I know what's coming. I would advise riding unfamiliar terrain to see what works.

Re: All night lights

Good Light that as I have one as back up ( the bracket alone costs a tenner as I lost mine ) and it's run times are pretty good and it's a good spread for both off and on road . Not quite exposure standards but it's insanely cheap at that price.

Aren't stem bolts all 4 mm as standard ?( Unless you just mean water bottle bosses in which case ignore ) Strength well it's smaller so weaker but metal is incredibly strong You can read the difference here. For cycle applications and holding a bottle or rack a M4 will be fine probably but bigger wi...

Don't start at that ressie as you end the day with the steepest climbs
Like most MTB routes probably better when dry ( on the ground) which it mainly was .

Re: WRT stories

The Garmin Touring GPS really doesn't like it when you go off route and will quite happily navigate you along big sections of trail only to tell you to do a u-turn once it thinks you've rejoined the route. So does a 530 if you ignore it's advice as to how to get back on the trail even when back to ...
