Re: WTD: Pro-action hikelite / Tiger paws / Argos tent
Might be 2 on ebay? Descriptions are brief but to my untrained eye they look like they could be the elusive Tiger Paws. I did see an advert the other day where somebody was selling 2. Can't remember where though....

Re: GPX for MBRUK Westcountry Way
Got the same pack but can't find a GPX copy on-line. Started plotting one on Garmin Basecamp, then swapped to a Satmap and forgot to transfer it
If anyone's got one I'd love a copy please.

Re: digs near Afan??
Another vote for Afan Lodge. Stayed there last year for the weekend. Great accomodation, secure underground bike storage and bike wash. 3 of shared a room (and the cost). Great food, and you can cycle along the cycle path below the lodge to the nearby centres. As I recall, the chef's brother rides A...

Re: Engineering type question..
I'd go for a bolt and hinge type jobby. Or easier still (if possible) see if you can bolt the ahifter to the brake lever clamp (sram matchmaker style) Like this idea. Might be able to use the hinged bracket and cut the Avid clamp to fit on. Use lock-on grips. Easy to swap everything over then. I us...

Engineering type question..
I mainly run a SS for all off road stuff after being recently converted and love the simplicity and "release" from the feeling I have to race everywhere off road. On the road I use an Alfine as the SS just doesn't cut it as a commuter. The Alfine changer only has a single bolt on the handl...

Re: SatMap
I've got both the Garmin 800 and now (just) have a Satmap active 10. I've used the Garmin on previous WRT's and local rides on Dartmoor etc and always found the screen size to be a limiting factor. It's great on the roadbike for a sportive etc or recording training rides but the screen size lets it ...

Iphone 5 for sale (UNMARKED)
Selling my Iphone 5. It's pristine, always been in a case with front and rear screen protectors as well. I can't find a single mark on it. It comes with the box and charger. Currently on EE/Orange. Just uploaded iOS 7 and it's been reset to factory settings. Looking for £300 plus postage any way you...

Quilt/Matt set up..
Used my quilt for the first time in anger on the WRT. (A Rev X 30 overstuffed) Saturday night was a touch chilly confirmed by the frozen water bottle in the morning... So how do you set up your quilt and matt? I had mine on top the matt, but looking around there seems to be different ways. D...

Re: Virtual shopping opportunity
Really like the look of the Salsa El M but unsure of the tubing, basic 4130. Just seen the Pipedream Skookum 29er, 853 tubing. Can be run as SS, Alfine, belt or normal. Looks just the job!

I'm looking to build a new bike. I'd rather build than buy off the shelf as I enjoy the process. I currently ride a carbon Epic and carbon road bike. (Just happened that way). I want something that will replace the Epic and do more... Decisions made already are: 29er Steel hardtail Two sets of wheel...

Re: Duty charges from the US - have I just been unlucky?
Having brought in a bit from the US I think it depends on the value and category of the item. Different items attract different duty rates at different thresholds.
