Re: Wheel and tyre sizes
Quick glance at your bike and I'd be saying that maybe it's too small for you but as I can't see you and the bike in real life, I could be wrong. When you went for a bike fit, did the fitter look at your bike before starting and comment on the sizing etc (good or bad comments?). I'm quite dubious of...

Doesn't have to be about racing, but it does have to inspire. Don't care how American it is so long as the people are genuine, not on-trend twats full of BS.

Re: Films - what would you like to see?
Music is a big one, so many downhill films et al use metal music and it's rather off putting. Watched a ski film the other day and the music was spot on, chilled with a beat to it Point 4 needs to cover all aspects of blogging and vlogging! Point 9 I can tolerate, the have a soft spot for scenery. F...

Re: Brutal Off-Road Climbs - South / Mid Wales
That's fair enough, I won't mention it again. Last time I went to the alps, I singlespeeded everywhere and blew the roadies out of the water (to be fair, I had twenty years on them  ) Can sympathise with you on lack of training time, family take up a lot of time. Off to Finland next month for a...

Re: Brutal Off-Road Climbs - South / Mid Wales
Ignorant question but why are you riding turbo for what (I think) is a mountain bike race?
Surely riding you bike outside with heavier tyres than the race tyres will be better training?

Re: Rant - Leave no Trace
Good find! I did ask her about 'leave no trace' but she didn't understand. Also asked if Gerber had given her the axe but she avoided answering the question directly! I got the impression that in the pictures she used for the arcticle and looking at her setup, so may have taken the B+B option (or go...

An upshot of all this shenanigans (after some investigation) means I may well now know the location of a bothy that I never knew existed, just got to cycle out there and see if it's where I believe it is. Got some Arcteryx running bottoms recently, as ever, great kit. Slightly baggy fit, so suitable for hill walking too (and just about pub friendly, just) but tight enough for the bike. No padding either

So what next, form an ethics committee and find reasons to get upset about everything you don't like? No thanks, I have a aversion to morale preaching. I was trying to get an insight to people's own opinions, nothing preachy and I was hoping for more responses for closer to the rules whitestone lin...

The bikepackers guide to - ethics
As far as I'm aware and following of from other threads (!), we need a set of wilderness guidelines or ethics*
1) Leave no trace
2) Don't ask where the bothy is
*This could get messy
