Re: Another long ITT type race - would there be interest?

I think a grand depart provides a focal point for the route. If you can sort out somewhere for people to park and possibly camp up like the BB200 then that makes the logistics easier for everyone.

I would be interested for sure.

Yeah from Intelligent Design Cycles (http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/idc1947?_trks ... 7675.l2559) based in Taiwan. I pre-orderd about 6-7 weeks ago and waited it out. I had previously checked with SP that they were a reputable reseller and they assured me they were so I went for it. :)

Shutter Precision Dynamo hub PD-8X arrived today. This is the new 15mm axle version. Just got to lace it up to the very nice carbon rim I have waiting. 8-)

BB200 photos

Although I had a camera with me I was a bit tunneled visioned and didn't take a single picture. I was wondering if you lot had pictures and if people wouldn't mind me using some in my ride report on my blog (with a credit of course)? It would be nice to give a visual flavor of what it was all ...

Re: The BB 200 Thread

You really were asleep ... you rode through the farm when you finished ;) I'll get you a badge sorted out. May be a couple of weeks though as we'll need a new batch. Ahhh OK I remember passing a building now (maybe on the left?) near the end but I didn't really connect the two. Thanks Stu an...

Re: 2013 BB 200 - Entry List

Dave and Gareth came in after myself, andrew and neil. We used the clock in the Tipi, but afterward I noticed the time on my garmin was earlier than the clock said, and i looked at the garmin a while after we got back. We were stupidly tired! My strava elapsed time registers 20h 32m, so all three o...

Re: The BB 200 Thread

Just reflecting a bit now on the whole affair. Was a good ride and something I would happily do again. It was tough but I managed to stay in a good place in my head so it was manageable. It was great to ride with Gabe (mountainbaker) and Andy (Chicken legs) and I think this made a lot of difference ...

Scan bar code in a shop and then the result is used as a search term for the forum and/or the reviews section on the new web site.

Re: On One Smorgasbord

I have used these for a while. I like them and I will be using one on the front for the BB200. I don't use them tubeless myself but I have bought some for my 29er build which will be tubeless, as I have heard of a lot of people having success getting them to work. They aren't light weight though tha...

Re: The BB 200 Thread

The one thing i found difficult last year was stopping for an hour in a nice warm pub after riding for 10 hours. After that my legs just didnt want to start again, which made the next 30k before I stopped very difficult. I had been having similar thoughts about this. I'm actually going to carry eno...

The Bar Fly was £17 and gives you an extra 50mm of room. Just weighed it and it was 42g.

I've just received something similar: http://www.xcracer.com/content/products/thumb_1375805540.jpg A bit anxious about the 2 n/m limit on the fasteners and their ability to hold onto my Six-Pack when bouncing done a rocky descent! Other than that I like "tank turret" look and it clears th...

Re: The post man's been ...

Oh and this was just handed to me. The bar fly mount from Tatelabs. I don't have a huge amount of space on my bars (salsa bend2) because of the sweep back and with the wildcat harness on it limits places for me to put lights. It will also raise the height of the lights above the bar bag. http://www....

Top tube bag from no logo bikepacking arrived yesterday. Looks nicely made and plenty of length/width in the straps so they can be trimmed to suit.

Re: New bikepacking bike

I'm currently looking at buying one of those cheap Chinese carbon 29er frames and taking everything off the El Mariachi to build it up. I was looking at one of these for a good while and was almost about to take the the plunge when On One had their crazy Lurcher sale so I went for one of those inst...
