Re: Wildlife

Also out for a run today, where I head up a trail at the side of a field. Spotted the ears of a deer in amongst the crop, as it watched me run past. As I got directly alongside it, it lowered itself til I passed. Couldn't have been more than 10m away. My clueless dog ran on ahead without noticing at...

Re: Wildlife

Shaf, the name comes from the fact they do catch bees and flying insects and when they catch one they smash the sting out of it. The photo was from a phone through a long range viewer that the RSPB had set up. They looked impressive and clearer through the viewer itself, really nice colours. We watc...

Re: Wildlife

Bee Eater birds in Norfolk. Took my daughter to see them this morning. Looked lovely. One of them had a close shave after getting chased by a Peregrine Falcon. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw/AIL4fc-0vKwtDaigZNONTdUuvH0FP9tzzR3SGLwGO_5Ayh7aLlO3CEuJH2ftseJtUN-EqfJnPLIOxRlm47yzOMuRCVAyjPQ8A3d6o3z...

Re: Rebellion way -first trip!

Well done, Rockbus. Any write up planned? I'd be especially interested in where you ended up camping in the end. As it is so close to me, I feel I should do it. But would need to do it in 3 days on a mountain bike and I'm not fast (I also don't think I've got the time in the near future) As I sugges...

Re: Rebellion way -first trip!

Of course, if need any tips for your time around Aylsham, let me know. For the section from Aylsham to Norwich, you also have a trail from Aylsham to Reepham to Norwich which you could loop back on if you finished the Rebellion Way. It's about 22 miles easy riding.

Re: Rebellion way -first trip!

Ok, so you'll be further south than I'm familiar with but as a rough guide (that I'm sure you're aware of already), you've got Thetford Forest before you hit Peddars Way. I have been given a decent spot around Wells-Next-The Sea previously that I've walked around quite a bit but not camped at yet. I...

Hi, I live near Aylsham so have a little bit of knowledge of the areas around there. Not that I've done the route myself. Are you starting in Norwich? If not where?

 Yes, to be fair, there is nothing I like better than eating a cold eyeball apart from, that is, stroking my nipples with ice cream. Any variety will do but I would be tempted by the more exotic flavours. I'm not going to Google it but there must be some dark corner of the web with videos of s...

Re: Yay, it's cheery Friday.

Cheery today as I had a day off after leaving a role that has given an amazing amount of stress for a long time. It's been a fight for near on 18 months against a manager who has been intent on bringing not just me, but half of the team down with blatant lies and self-interest. Within the last month...

Elephant's what? Yes, the lychee and mango did give it a slightly different fruity taste from usual citrusy flavours but it was ok. Not sure I'd seek it out again though. Like I said was a leaving gift and all the beers they chose were strong. It's like they assumed I have a drink problem or ...

Re: Are you sure you'll be able to vote in May?

Jameso, I'd say you're exactly right. I keep up-to-date with current affairs and have no idea of this voter authority certificate. Just had a look at what this is and doesn't ring a bell. I can't remember seeing anything advertised. Another way to discourage the 'wrong' type of people from voting. I...

Re: Are you sure you'll be able to vote in May?

I'm as sceptical as Voodo_Simon, there will be a large number of young people who won't necessarily have a photo ID and in IMO the Govt is playing a numbers game that they'll be less inclined to get one prior to voting and, therefore, won't be able to vote at all. Older people will more likely have ...

I have the electrons and I'm happy with them. I consider them a success due to the fact I don't need to think about them. I've paired them with Adidas Terrex Approach shoes and the pins sit securely in the sole with no slip at all.
