Re: Anyone paddled the Wye?
I have paddled Symonds Yat to Redbrook a few times, it's a really pleasant day out, but may be a long ride back. In a car it is a complex game of leave one here, go back there, paddle, get back in, drive back there! Paddle to Redbrook, enjoy the pub overlooking the river, sleep out, ride back. If yo...

Re: Where is everyone?
Chedar Man - That's not what I've observed. BB is a very welcoming forum, similar to YACF for audaxing. I note a few YACF stalwarts have appeared on BB during the past 2-3 years, have thrived and become part of the - ahem  - "nuevo-establishment" :-bd , possibly just as a natu...

Just to add, that isn't a criticism, just an observation. It happens all the time on smaller forums.

Re: Where is everyone?
I've noticed over the last few days a sharp decline in 'users on-line'. Where's everyone gone? Are they all out Christmas shopping? Getting a final trip in or finally had enough and headed for pastures new ... obviously, I'm not expecting any answers because those missing won't see this  It's...

Re: Hacks & Bodges
There is a chap who often cycles the Bristol to Bath railway path and he has tri bars clipped to (and you have to imagine this) the bottom of sort of backwards pointed butterfly bars. The effect is that his arms are effectively through the butterfly bars, and his face is inches away from them. I oft...

Re: xmas gifts for a cycling wife............ help!
I know cycling lady. She is very open, and has told us several times that cycling on her period can be uncomfortable. So she uses a Mooncup, get yourself some new man points and get her one.

All I would say is be very careful choosing the size

https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/chainsets/shimano-duraace-fc7800-clamp-bolt-m6-x-15mm-1e5-1210/ Wow, the identical thing is 9p from the bolt shop in Wakefield. In fact in this circumstance, Shaf needed something 18mm long, and they have those too . Not a criticism of what you have posted, just a commen...

Re: Ti bolts as (Hollowtech) crank arm pinch bolts!
Oh... btw. The ti bolts are £15 but at leaat they're available.. M6 20mm bolts are 6p each from Kayfast in Wakefield. You could push the boat out and go stainless, but they are 9p each  So a cost saving of £14.82 and a weight difference of next to nothing. I went out with a girl from Wakefil...

Cows are all registered at slaughter as they need to be traceable in case of disease, mad cow etc. But I don't think they get a death certificate as such.

Re: GPS Tracker Thread - Spot Content and In reach
To the people that have recommended using Whatsapp and Googlemaps - doesn't this need a phone signal? Yup, absolutely. I just mentioned it as an addition to the "if where you're going has phone coverage" side-discussion. No, I don't think it does. It would need a data signal, but not nece...

Here you go, size large. £750 with a pump for the suspension. It has barely been used to be honest.

Re: Overnight stays still banned?
Thought my question might be appropriate here if that's ok. Q being, that, if I'm in Tier 3. So being in West Yorkshire... Would it be perfectly legit (won't use the term 'reasonable' as I reckon it is) to head out on the 160 miler West Yorkshire Cycle Route. Obviously it'd include a stay/sleep mid...

Buy a down jacket and down trousers. They can be worn out of the bag in the evening, and then in the bag for an added warming factor.
