Re: Anyone not use a mtb for bikepacking trips?

I thought you ran a Swift at some point? I further thought the Gryphon was *just* swift tubes re-jigged to enable drop bars. Surprised there were concerns about it being up to it. Still, my comments could be taken as a massive slur to Singular Sam's design and construction skills so best listen to h...

Re: Tour Mont Blanc

When you carry a backpacking you carrry one of Satan's testicles, crafted from the finest dark star matter, weighing you down and dragging you into the pit of pain, hell and despair. I may be exagerating slightly but I hate the things. Trip looks vaguely exciting and I really like the slightly terse...

Re: The post man's been ...

An RSP "Plummet" dropper seat post.

Not very bikepacky and I suspect Stu is no fan  However, for c.£69 and at 27.2mm dia (rare as RHS size) it seemed like quite a deal.

Steve - I asked that as well. Let me know if he comes back to you and vice-versa.

Travers are doing a deal: http://www.traversbikes.com/store/p40/Rear_29__wheel_Hope_Black_hub_Gune_Metal_Northpaw_rim.html Hope hub, Northpaw rim, built for £199. Given a Hope hub is c.£130(?) retail and the rims are £129 seems like quite a deal. Should be £259 but reduced at mo. I reckon 1 of those...

So whilst the honed athletes at the top of their game whizz through every 10 or so minutes all the punters get to drink beer and eat chips for a couple of hours. Now that's road racing Yo...
