Re: 13l front bag options

Another approach would be to add your own bosses to a suitably sized rectangle of fabric, firming a kind of harness, that help to position the straps, and enclose the bag a bit more.
It would have to be fairly lightweight, though

Is the lack of strap bosses on a drybag really that much of an issue?
Do they slip out of the straps?

Re: Please can we talk briefly about pizzas & racks..

As per the answer from @Gregmay...
1 X 16 inch pizza = 200 sq inches
1 X 12inch pizza = 113 sq inches
2 X 10 inch pizzas = 156 sq inches, they fit in the rack, and more scope for topping choices

Re: Where would you live in the UK...

Spring days in Mint Sauce land This is enough 'remoteness' for me, although I'm not able to access it, at the moment, as it's not quite as local as I'd like. My relatively modest plan would be to move to a reasonable sized town/village, nearer to the South Downs, to a modest house with a bigger gar...

Re: 28 inch tyre question.

The nearest I can come to answering this (well, before I read the other answers, at least) is that I have some 28 inch tubes in my 29er tyres.
Have no idea where they came from, though

Not sure what the point is of more gears i have a couple of 10 speed set ups and a couple of 11 . . . Gravel bikes would be better if we had a double option for bikepacking rather than 1 more step in the gears we allready have I think you just answered your own question - more gears = smaller steps...

I'd say that road and MTB requirements are sufficiently different to justify two lights. For road, something with a correctly shaped beam is better for the rider AND incoming drivers/riders. https://www.alpinetrek.co.uk/busch-mueller-ixon-iq-premium-front-light (Might be trickier to get, after midni...

Many of the people involved aren't practical people. They're not used to having to get sh1t done. They're used to sitting down and talking about getting sh1t done while ultimately never getting any sh1t done at all.

Re: Similar to Exposure, but not... is there such a thing?

Does the Raveman actually dip, in the same way that car headlights do, or is it just a lowering of the brightness? I've recently bought a B&M Icon IQ Premium and took it out for a test ride on a local road loop. The shape of the beam does result in a more consistent light coverage across its ran...
