Re: What are you listening to now?

New RHCP album, s’not bad either :-bd Tried the new Stereophonics album (and I’m a massive massive fan of them) but really wasn’t taken with it :| There's definitely a direct correlation between the presence of John Frusciante and the quality of any given RHCP album (although I love the first few a...

I'm a big fan of the humble fatbike but I can't think of a less suitable bike to find replacement parts for en route riding around the world. :-bd From tyres and tubes to rims, hubs, the bb and cranks - you'll not find anything in any regular bike shops - all things that'll need replacing regularly ...

Re: Bike choice appreciation society

Totally. Beauty or perfection are nowt to do with it.

Right for me is what I aim for.

I look at a bike and think what I'd change in order to make it exactly right for me and before I know it I've usually pretty much changed what I'm looking at into something I already own.

Bike choice appreciation society

So.....does anyone else frequently just sit and look at their bike/bikes and think 'I really nailed it with my choices'? It's very rare that I get bike envy as usually there's something I don't like about, different choices I would've made or components I'd not get on with when I look at other folks...

Not much new to offer except to +1 in a few areas... +1 for Pilates for core strength, back self-care and overall combating the body getting old and crap. +1 for minimalist / barefoot (trail running) shoes for riding. I don't ride clipped in, I hate the big clunky (lack of) feel of five ten shoes, I...

I'm sure you're right but G.P's tastes are very much aligned with mine and he goes off in all the right directions that I'm interested in exploring.

Obviously I wouldn't kick J.P's collection out of bed for farting but given the choice there's no choice.
