Re: A Trossachs Overnighter
Looks great. Have spent a few nights in the bivy at loch Drunkie but mostly in winter as always thought it would be busy and full of numpties. There’s some brilliant riding round that area.

Re: Modern Hardtails
Have used my ragley big al frame and use it for everything. It’s done days at Bike Park wales followed by 5 days bikepacking. Yeah it’s not brilliant at everything and really needs some quicker rolling tyres on it but still comfy and does the job. Got a surly ogre I use for any big bikepacking trips...

Wtd. Size 6 flat shoes
So my girlfriend had finally agreed that bikes are vaguely exciting so looking to see if anyone has flat shoes lying about they want rid of.
Looking for uk size 6.
Nothing fancy just to get her started.
Pm if you have anything.

Re: Advice Please
Have you plans for coming to tayinloan as there ain’t much there and probably nicer places to take the MTB from the ferry. Cal Mac have a habit of cancelling the wee ferry if needed somewhere else so might be a good idea to have a fall back plan. There’s lots of stream on steam depending on route bu...

Inov-8 rocklite g 345 gtx boots size 9
Bought these hoping they would fit but with my wide feet they just don’t fit. Worn for about 30mins so may have some bits of mud on them but otherwise in very good condition. Navy yellow in colour and size 9. Can pm pictures if required. https://www.inov-8.com/roclite-g-345-gtx-mens-lightweight-hiki...

Re: New Bike Gear Out And Due Out...
There was a harness type thing out a few years ago as I had one when doing a lot of big hills makes it so much easier hike a biking.
Now I seem to one of few who have a rucksack on so bike goes on to rucksack saves my back.

Last proper mountain would be Ben Lomond last year but not long from a trip to torridon and fisher field area where there was lots of looking up at all the mountains around me.

Not great as still working through all the Christmas snacks but getting there slowly. More importantly feel so much better actually have energy and motivation to do things at night and weekends.
Some great results from everyone on here.

Both the ncn7 and Ayr road are ok to cycle. Aye road is a bit hectic coming out of the city centre depending on time. The ncn7 is a nice cycle but sometimes seems to go through housing estates and back streets for no reason.

Otters and eagles! Impressive. But that's just winding us urbanites up  . In fact just noticed it's otter s plural. Hah! Not fair  . Best not mention being able to wander down to the beach in the village and watch otters with my morning coffee.😁 To be fair it’s the first dry day in 2 w...

First ride of the year and managed to get the girlfriend to come along. 35km on the bike all on road which included me sliding down the road on my face after hitting a big patch of ice. But on the plus points seen a few otters while sitting on a jetty looking over the sea and was passed at close ran...

Happy new year all.
Don’t post much on here but regular pop in and catch up the adventures. Find bear bones the only place where I can feel included and where sleeping in random ditches is actively encouraged. Hope one day get to meet some folk from here.
