Re: Water proof flat peddle shoes
Thread reminds me of why I bought a boot dryer. I really like my five tens (laughably they're the "water resistant ones"), but they take days to dry naturally. "The new synthetic upper dries overnight so you will always be ready to ride" Nope. Does that really fit the TLS ethos?

Re: The Perfect Bike Packing Bike
I fit right into my Ogre with its 100mm suspension on duallys and 2.4in tyres; short steep stem on jones loop bars and a Brooks Cambium to plonk my butt on. Unloaded its the ugliest bike going - a right ogre - but loaded up its a thing of beauty and a super dependable iron horse for long hours. If ...

Re: MSR Pocket Rocket 2
Due to issues associated with fire bans, I am planning on getting gassed-up for trips. Has anyone got a pocket rocket 2 and, if so, what are your thoughts on them in general? Cheers! Yes I have one and its very nice - better than the Mk1 being a bit more compact and less weight. Negatives - its jus...

Re: rodies beeing soft about disks again
Regarding carbon wheels; there's some footage somewhere of a rider in a race on some Lightweight (brand) wheels, which are virtually entirely made of carbon. He's riding in the bunch and accidentally gets too close to the QR on another riders bike - cue the carbon spokes all get cut and the wheel c...

I've just bought a half price arcteryx alpha fl. Goretex Pro. I've got another goretex pro jacket which is probably the most breathable jacket i've ever had but doesn't fit as well.

neoprene is not a strong material. at all.
its basically rubber sandwiched between two thin sheets of protective material. if that material gets comprised, the rubber tears very easily.
