i am usually in a grump at this time of year. always hated xmas, but this year something has changed and i feel quite chipper. so, inspiration. shoe goo is very good for mending holes and splits in shoes. spread a thin layer over the hole/split and leave overnight.

bomb proof Goretex bivi bag here, FOC if it is of use to your mate Shaf. it will deffo keep him dry and protected from the wind, better than the megabuck flimsy lightweight tosh.

i mapped a route last night, taking in all the sources mentioned, i got near the mileage.
it would make a lovely 7 to 9 days tour for me at a leisurely pace, visiting a few hostelries along the way.

so on that not, i may enter, just for the route, and take my time.
