Re: Bivvy a Month 2024

I personally use the very local one's too experiment with different bivvying techniques. Bailing home making it less risky...I've not bailed yet tho :-bd [/quote] Quick locals tick the box and like said good to play with a new set up or new kit etc, I did less than 6 mile there 'n' back myself with ...

Re: Bivvy a Month 2024

Late starter here after a really crappy start to the year with the back end of December rolling into January with a chest infection and then with all my luck in the world I managed to land myself in bed for a few days with a positive Covid test and felt pretty rough. Made the decision I'd give it an...

Re: Bivvy a month 2023.

A surprisingly tough task when you factor in family life, work and whatever pops up in between. My first year of trying this and failed after a run of 9 which I'll take tbh. Loved checking out the pics and stories throughout the year and some of the places people are willing to sleep to get the job ...

Re: Bivvy a month 2023.

Well that's me done, run out for 9. Sunday night was meant to be the night only to be told at 4pm we were leaving for a Fall Out Boy gig in Manchester at 6pm and obviously not getting back till late, thought I'll go Monday but the daughters graduation ceremony and leaving the house early meant that ...

Here's a little video from the BB200 for your entertainment. I'm hardly a Youtuber but while riding I remembered another gravel rider/youtuber left in tears by the event. The only difference is that I didn't record myself crying hahah Enjoy: https://youtu.be/AyRsoCUMIyo?si=GN6V_r-8nIljmOy9 Great vi...

Re: Bivvy a month 2023.

Evening all, I'm new to the forum/bikepacking and was inspired by all the amazing posts to try the 'Bivvy a Month' challenge. Possibly a daft question, so do humour me! Can I start this month and carry on till next October, or do I have to wait until January to begin? Many thanks!: ) Welcome, I sta...

Re: BB200 2023

Hi peeps, after entering the previous 4 BB200 events (2x shoulder injuries, 1x covid & 1x head not in the game) this was the first one I've actually made to the start line (so 1st one in 5 attempts  ) so that in itself was a win in my book. I packed reasonably light with just bivvy bag, sl...

Some tubeless valves, now fitted and sealed up. That means my new Fairlight Holt is ready to ride. Just sitting on it feels world's apart from the Stooge I've been riding for years and I can't remember the last time I rode a bike with suspension. There's a strong temptation to ride it this weekend ...
